Stopped here for a quick lunch after seeing the signs on Hwy 26 and 129. It appears that this used to be a country cooking restaurant that now decided to focus on barbecue. Unfortunately they don't do that very well. We were served by a waitress who was friendly and quick even though she carried a baby in one hand the entire time. That alone wouldn't bother me if the food was good-but it wasn't. My pork sandwich was bland. If it had been smoked, you couldn't tell. The sauce didn't help either-it tasted like mainly vinegar, just sour with little flavor. Baked beans seemed like they were heated from a can. If you are in this area, you'd be far better off making the drive to Backyard Barbecue in Newberry.
